# Files

> Find every picture, clip and note in a project, see where each one came from and where it is used.

**Files** holds everything a project owns: uploads, generated images and clips, and its Markdown notes. Use the switch at the top left of the page bar to move between the **Media** shelf and the **Markdown** shelf, and pick a file to see its details on the right.

## File

1. Open **Files** in a project and pick a file from the grid or table.
2. The details panel opens on **Details** with **File** at the top.
3. Click **Name** to rename the file.

Where this file came from: uploaded, or made by which model and who ran it. A file made outside Rasu AI shows that service, model and job as reported when it was brought in, unchecked and at no cost.

1. Pick a file and look under **File** in the details panel.
2. Read where it came from and who made it.

| Row | What it shows |

| Provider and Model | Which service and model made it. |
| Job | For an external file, that service's own job id. |
| Seed | The number that lets the same run be repeated. |
| Version | Which run this is, out of how many. |
| Inputs | How many pictures it was made from. |

### Files made outside Rasu AI

An assistant connected to Rasu AI can generate a shot or a look on another service and bring the result back. It goes in this order:

1. The assistant asks Rasu AI to prepare the shot or look for that service. Rasu AI answers with the prompt in plain words and a link to each reference. The links stop working after about 15 minutes.
2. The assistant generates on the other service, with its own connection to it. Rasu AI doesn’t generate here, never signs in to that service, and charges no credits.
3. The assistant gives Rasu AI the finished file’s link. Rasu AI brings the file in, and it shows in the jobs tray while it arrives.
4. The file becomes a take of the shot, or a new picture of the look. A look only takes pictures.

The Provenance card shows the service, its model and its job id as the assistant reported them. Rasu AI doesn’t check them. The prompt and references sent are on the take or look picture. Another service’s links often expire within days, so bring a file back soon after it’s made. There’s no button for this in the studio. To add a file you have yourself, use **Import a take…** or upload it.

**For agents**

- `library_write (type: media_fetch)` — fields: `address`, `external.service`, `external.model`, `external.jobId`, `destination`
